The annual assessment for the Belfair Acreage Tracts Association is determined through a budget ratification process. RCW 64.90.525 (effective July 2018). The Board creates a proposed budget for the next year and if a majority of property owners do not reject it, then it is ratified.
The annual assessment for 2026 is proposed to stay at $750 per tax parcel.
The ratification ballots are being sent out with the October 2025 newsletter for ratification by the November 16th board meeting. The newsletter will also be posted on this website in the file downloads section when mailed. Please contact the Board if you did not receive it in the mail as we may need an updated mailing address for you.
Per the BATA Covenants & Restrictions, Article VII, the first half of the assessment is due by January 10 and the second half is due by July 10. Assessments not paid by the due date are delinquent. Assessments not paid within thirty days after the delinquency date will be charged 12% annual interest. Delinquent accounts will be subject to a $50 filing fee, lien fees, collection fees and attorney fees. The association may also bring an action of law against the owner to foreclose the lien against the property.
